Osborne Executive OCC2 - Restored/cleaned/tested/working

Osborne Executive 'portable' personal computer from 1983. It comes with all the original system software floppies in their original Osborne binder, with the optional modem (untested) and some backup floppies.

The computer has been disassembled, cleaned, serviced and tested. The pesky, and "explosive",  power supply RIFA capacitors have been replaced. The floppy drives have been cleaned and lubricated - both drives read, write and format disks as intended. Both drives work as intended. The display is clear, sharp and steady with no burn-in. Both the brightness and contrast controls work as intended. The keyboard keys have been pulled-out and washed. All keys have been tested and work properly.

The computer is in great overall cosmetic condition; other that some yellowing of the case plastic and some light use marks, it's complete with nothing cracked and nothing broken; even the leather handle is still intact and the keyboard clips are still in good condition and work well.

Includes the Osborne Executive (serial # 021613 ), the power cord, the original Osborne binder with 15 original system and software diskettes included, 3 x CP/M plus, 2 x Wordstar, 1 x SuperCalc, 1x MBasic and CBasic, 6 x Personal Pearl, 1 x UCSD p-System and a CP/M advanced BIOS diskette (NOTE: some of the disks were cursorily tested and seem to boot - no further testing performed; however, working copies of the CP/M and the Basic disks are also included.

In 1983 this was the latest in portable computing!

Despite this computer having been extensively tested and found to be fully functional, it IS almost 40 years old technology and as such, there is no guarantee offered, or implied, for continued functioning. This lot is being sold as-is with no returns accepted.

Everything is included to start using it right away for a first class trip back in time to the early 1980s!
