Pristine, expanded, tested and working PowerBook 1400c (active matrix color screen)

This PowerBook 1400c is in excellent cosmetic and functional condition. It is equipped with a PPC  603e processor @ 117MHz, 32MB of RAM, a 40 GB hard disk (tested and working flawlessly), a CD-ROM drive (tested and working flawlessly), a floppy drive (tested and working flawlessly) and two PC-CARD/PCMCIA slots (tested and working flawlessly). This model is equipped with a very sharp and very bright active matrix LCD screen. The CD-ROM drive is a user swappable drive and can be replaced by an included floppy drive. The original (depleted/dead) battery is included and so is the original 1 GB hard disk (untested).

The installed operating system is a MacOS 8.6. The laptop boots up perfectly from the hard disk.

The laptop is in pristine condition. It looks new; however, the CD-ROM bezel has fallen off and is included (this is a very typical issue with this model's CD-ROM drive - the drive bezel is screwed to the body of the drive and held in place by two flimsy plastic tabs. Note that this is strictly a cosmetic issue which does not affect functionality in any way).

Despite this laptop having been extensively tested and found to be fully functional, it IS almost 30 years old technology and as such, there is no guarantee offered, or implied, for continued functioning. This lot is being sold as-is.

Included are the laptop, the swappable CD-ROM drive, the swappable floppy drive, the original (untested) 1GB hard disk, the original installation CD-ROM (French 7.5.3) and an Apple original power adapter. Ready to plug-in and use.
