Description

Apple Portable StyleWriter

Complete, tested, working and ready to use StyleWriter Portable.

The StyleWriter Portable was an inkjet printer offered by Apple to complement its 100 series of laptops. It was a small, truly portable unit which could be either powered by plugging it in or powered by an included battery pack. Its print quality was better than that of the dot matrix ImageWriters of the period, but not as good as the LaserWriters.

The StyleWriter Portable was actually a printer with a parallel interface. It thus required a serial to parallel converter so that it could print from a Mac. This unit comes complete with the very rare and usually missing serial to parallel converter, a used ink cartridge (refillable and containing some ink), the Apple AC adapter, the depleted (dead) battery pack and the very rare optional sheet feeder. Note: the sheet feeder has not been tested; however, it's a relatively simple mechanical device.

The printer was tested by running its self test as well as connected to a Mac - see photos.

Despite this lot having been tested and confirmed to be in working order, it IS over 30 years old technology and there is no guarantee offered, or implied, for its continued functioning. This lot is being sold as-is with no returns accepted.
