Apple Mac Macintosh 800KB Floppy Drive – DataSpace DS800

This is a very rare, third-party, 800KB floppy disk drive sold by Canadian company DataSpace. The drive was manufactured by Japanese company Chinon and is not licensed by Apple. It is much quieter than the Sony drives sold by Apple. It does work perfectly and is compatible with multiple compact Macs (128k, 512k, Plus, SE). The drive reads, writes and formats both 400KB and 800KB disks. NOTE: 800KB disks are only supported on Macs that can recognize them (some 512ks with upgraded ROMs, Pluses and SEs). 

Disassembled, cleaned, lubricated and tested - works perfectly.
