Rare Macintosh LC575 Logic Board - Color Classic Mystic Upgrade - Restored/Recapped/Tested/Working

This is a cleaned, restored, recapped, tested and working Macintosh LC 575/Performa 575  logic board. This is the logic board used to perform the Color Classic's Mystic upgrade. It can also be used in an LC/Performa 520-578 chassis. The board is clean with no corrosion.

The board had been recapped using long-life, leak-proof tantalum capacitors (2022). It has been extensively tested following the recap (in an LC575 computer): sound, internal floppy port, internal SCSI port, external SCSI port, ADB port, soft power on, etc... all work as intended . The board has undergone a burn-in for two hours. This consists of leaving the computer powered on while running CPU-intensive apps - the board passed the test with flying colors.

Unlike many other LC575 logic boards, this board's capacitor leakage has not caused any printed circuit board trace damage and chip pin corrosion is very minimal. This is a very clean board with no printed circuit board trace repairs and no bodge wires... quite rare for this model!

Included are: the LC575 logic board, a 3D-printed replacement I/O port back plate for the Color Classic (to match the ports on the LC 575 logic board), the original (dead) clock battery, a replacement battery consisting of a battery holder for three standard 1.5V batteries with the custom keyed connector (batteries not included), a 16MB memory expansion SIMM (installed - bringing the total memory to 20MB), some video RAM (unsure of the size) and the original LC575 MacOS 7.1 install CD.

Installation of this logic board in a Color Classic may require technical skills - research prior to buying (especially true for a Color Classic Mystic upgrade); please understand that I cannot provide any personal technical support.

Despite this lot having been extensively tested and found to be fully functional, it IS almost 30 years old technology and as such, there is no guarantee offered or implied for continued functioning. This lot is being sold as-is with no returns accepted.
