Classic, iconic, vintage (32+ years old!) Apple Mac Plus. Model Macintosh Plus 1MB/M0001A. The memory is the original 1MB memory. The computer is in A1 functional condition and in superb cosmetic condition (with barely any discernible yellowing of the plastic case caused by age). No bulging or leaking capacitors. Disassembled, cleaned, serviced and nicely detailed. The 800KB floppy drive has been cleaned and re-lubricated - reads, writes, formats and ejects floppy disks without any issues. The screen is clear, bright and sharp with no burn-ins. The troublesome analog board RIFA capacitor has been replaced (after many years, this capacitor is known to deteriorate and eventually blow up with a loud bang and lots of awful smelling smoke). All troublesome solder joints on the analog board have been reflowed. All power supply voltages have been adjusted to specs. The factory installed, expensive and difficult to source PRAM backup battery has been replaced by a fully functional, 3D-printed, replacement battery using cheap, readily available button cells (cells not included).

The computer has been thoroughly tested: sound, internal floppy drive, external floppy port, external SCSI port, keyboard port, mouse port, brightness control, etc… all tested and working as intended.

This Mac starts up normally with a loud bong when powered on. Sound is loud and clear.

Includes the original Apple mouse, the original Extended Apple keyboard (French layout),  an Apple-original power cord, a full set of documentation (English) in like-new condition and original Mac OS 6.0.3 floppy disks.

This computer’s case is in absolutely amazing condition – super clean with nothing but very minute and superficial use marks.

The Macintosh Plus 1MB was released on January 16, 1986 and discontinued on October 15, 1990. It was the first Macintosh with enough memory to be considered “useful”. This particular Macintosh Plus S/N F838AHLM0001A  was the 12158^th  Mac manufactured during the 38^th week of 1988 in Fremont, California, USA. At the time, its retail price was USD$2599.00

This is one of a handful of Apple models which has the signatures of the design team (including Steve Jobs') molded on the inside of the case.

This Mac has been restored, serviced and detailed. It is ready to plug in and use!
