Early Apple IIe 2e system with the "Enhanced" upgrade - 128k - Serviced/Upgraded/Loaded/Tested

Apple IIe upgraded to //e Enhanced with 2 Drives, 64KB memory expansion card, Super Serial Card, Z80 CP/M Softcard, Disk Interface II card, Dan II  Controller card (Solid State Disk emulator with Total Replay installed), Apple monitor support shelf and Apple Monitor III. 65C02 processor and 128k of RAM. The computer has been fully serviced and the power supply recapped. This is an early Apple IIe with the white keyboard lettering. 

This computer started out as an Apple IIe and was upgraded to an Apple //e Enhanced (using an aftermarket kit) - processor upgraded to an extended instruction set 65C02 (Rockwell), both system and character generator ROMs upgraded to the Enhanced model's ROMs and memory upgraded to 128KB. Note: Shoud you wish to return this IIe Enhanced system to its original,  standard IIe configuration, all required Apple IIe chips are also included (6502 CPU and 3 ROM chips). 

The computer has been restored, cleaned, repaired and extensively tested. The power supply has been disassembled, recapped (RIFA cap and low voltage caps replaced) and tested.

The case is in excellent condition with the lid holding in place as intended. The four rubber feet are still present and in good condition. The case has been disassembled, cleaned and detailed – other than a couple of small scratches on the left side of the case and on the base, it looks amazing (see photos)! All keyboard keys have been pulled out and cleaned. All logic board chips are socketed and the logic board has been cleaned.

Includes two 5.25" floppy drives: an Apple-original Disk ][  and a Mitac clone. Both drives have been disassembled, cleaned and lubricated. Both drives' read/write heads have been cleaned. The Disk ][ has also been recapped and works as intended. The Mitac drive is also in working order, but was not extensively tested.

Includes a number of expansion cards: (1) a combo 64KB/80 columns card, (2) an Apple-original Super Serial Card complete with the often missing serial port connector (tested with ADTPro and working perfectly), (3) a working clone of the Microsoft Z80 CP/M Softcard, (4) a working Apple-original Disk ][ controller card and (5) a Dan II Controller card with Total Replay installed (this card is not shown in the pictures).

Also included is an Apple Monitor III green phosphorous monochrome monitor in excellent working order; however it's stick-on anti reflective film has been slightly scratched.

Other included items: (1) power cord, (2) composite video cable, (3) rare, Apple-original monitor support/shelf (yellowed, but in excellent condition otherwise – no cracks, no major dings and all four original rubber feet are still present), (4) a copy of ADT Pro which makes it very easy to transfer software from a modern computer to the Apple system (you'll need a USB to serial converter on the modern computer - a few dollars online), and (5) a few floppy disks with software and games to get you started.

Note: The character generator ROM is a 28 pins chip inserted in a 24 pins socket and connected to a switch on the front, slanted bottom right side of the Apple. This switch is used to switch character sets between US and French accented characters.

The computer is in excellent cosmetic condition (considering its age). Tested and functional.

Despite this system having been extensively tested and found to be operational, it IS 40 years old technology and I cannot guarantee continued operation.

This is a great opportunity to own one of the most popular of the original personal computers for retro- gaming, for retro-computing, for fun or as a prop. Functional, upgraded, loaded, complete and ready to use. You will not be disappointed!
